Aanchal and Shishir’s Enchanting Wedding Held at The Corinthians Resort and Club, Pune
Have you ever been a part of a wedding that leaves you wide-eyed and ‘wow’ at every aspect of it? Well, this wedding had us doing just that. The gorgeous clothes, the jewellery with a mix of ethnic and modern, the detailed attention to littlest aspects of the décor, the inspirational photo shoots and we could go on and on and on!
The Cocktail
Metallic masks, neon lasers and disco lights – this cocktail party was as crazy as it could be! The couple, along with their friends, drank, danced and raised a toast to the new journey they were about to begin together. The stunning bride-to-be was dressed in a rani-pink, mermaid-cut cocktail gown. The strapless gown featured a scatter of silver crystals and white beads all over the bodice and looked absolutely ravishing.
Pro Tip: We love how Aanchal contrasted her rani-pink cocktail gown with an ethnic diamond necklace. Don’t shy away from pairing ethnic trends with contemporary styles.
The Sangeet-cum-Engagement
A beautifully-lit indoor space decorated with an abundance of fresh flowers hosted Aanchal and Shishir’s engagement-cum-sangeet ceremony. This stunning duo was ethnically dressed in designer outfits that left everyone amazed! Shishir’s classy navy-blue velvet sherwani that was adorned with gold threadwork and Aanchal’s heavily embroidered lehenga-choli that had bold motifs on a deep maroon base made these two look like an ethnic version of a dreamy fairytale. The entry on the florally-decorated bicycle with bright sparklers added the perfect touch of magic to this couple’s dreamy engagement-cum-sangeet ceremony.
Pro-Tip: Why not combine two ceremonies? Mash up your Sangeet and Engagement or your Haldi and Mehendi! Have double the fun without burning a hole in your pocket.
The Haldi
For the Haldi ceremony, this bride-to-be decided to keep it small and intimate. Close friends and family came to bless and apply haldi on this beautiful bride so that she gets a natural glow on her big day. She also applied small amounts of this sacred paste on her unmarried girlfriends and siblings as it is believed that whoever gets touched by this paste will soon find a good-looking partner. Don’t we absolutely love Indian wedding rituals and the deep meanings behind each of them? We sure do!
We usually see brides dressed in basic cotton sarees or salwar suits for their mehendi ceremony, but Aanchal went all the way at this ceremony too. She donned a classic red and gold dhoop-chhaon silk saree with ethnic gold jewellery that had her looking absolutely beautiful.
Pro Tip: Pick darker shades to wear for your haldi ceremony as the contrast between the haldi and your outfit will make your photographs look even brighter and beautiful.
The Shaadi
After all the partying and dancing, the moment Aanchal and Shishir were waiting for finally arrived! It was the most special day of their lives, and they definitely dressed to kill. Aanchal wanted to stick to traditions yet not leave the style quotient too far behind, so she opted to wear a traditional red and white panetar lehenga-choli. Her entire lehenga was gorgeously embellished with gold zardozi and stones. Her handsome groom kept up to speed with the ethnicity in his textured beige sherwani with stunning gold accents – together this couple looked like true royalty!
Pro Tip: How often do you see Grooms jootis that are this classy? Red velvet with zardozi embroidery to match the sherwani! So off-beat, so classy, we think! Opt for a pair like these; they’re definitely a good shift from the conventional!
Our Personal Favourite – The Photoshoots
Ace photographer Robin Saini captured every moment from this grand wedding affair with utmost skill and precision, highlighting different aspects of Aanchal and Shishir’s personalities with each photoshoot. His use of light and shadow techniques, simple captures and brilliant use of day light throughout each photo-shoot resulted in stunning pictures.
Pro Tip: Shishir and Aanchal didn’t fail to do a pre/post-ceremony photoshoot – whether it was the cocktail or mehendi or the main wedding itself. They wanted to treasure these memories for generations to come, thus engaging in multiple photoshoots that showed off their gorgeous outfits. You could see the intimate gazes of love shared between them – ask your wedding photographer to do the same and cherish these precious moments for life!
