Inspirations from Saroj Jalan’s New Bridal Wear Collection Launched at LFW

Lakme Fashion Week ended on a top notch note with Rohit Bal’s subtle and shimmery collection, but what caught our eye was the contrary ensemble that was so brilliantly showcased by Saroj Jalan, a renowned designer whose name is synonymous with traditional bridal wear. Browsing through her new bridal wear collection, we realized this had to be shared with our lovely brides-to-be who literally search high and low for ideas and inspirations.

Indian weddings are full of vibrant colours, therefore, it goes without saying that a bridal wear needs to match up with the burst of colours that fill all wedding festivities. Keeping in mind the likes of Indian brides and their thirst for designs that are contemporary yet traditional, Saroj Jalan’s new bridal collection “The Royal Harmony” at the Lakme Fashion Week 2016 was a complete stunner.

Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of India, the collection “The Royal Harmony” celebrates the ethnic extravaganza of India’s rich and diverse chronicle.

The line boasts a mixture of traditional and classic elegance with contemporary flair and drapes in different kind of silks.

The distinct art and culture of India is beautifully depicted in her collection through heavy zardozi handwork and embellishments.

Actress Waluscha Desousa of the movie “FAN” fame walked the ramp for Saroj Jalan as the showstopper. We must say she looks no less than a royal queen in this heavy zardozi worked lehenga choli. The latkan and the potli simply ascended the bridal look.

 “It is just not the majestic living but every aspect of what was and what India is, which has tinkered our creativity and led us to where we are today. We have highlighted the ensembles with patanpatola and have kept the silhouette line very simple yet very traditional using the vibrant hues of red, mustard, emerald and beige in our collection”, Designer Saroj Jalan
