Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone burned the dancefloor at the party hosted for the newlyweds by Ranveer’s sister – Ritika Bhavnani at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai and I must say it was a night to remember! You know, they say, “only a sister can know her brother perfectly”; Ritika threw a party totally Ranveer-style and we saw Baba in his true element!

Ranveer Singh gave a heartfelt speech while he welcomed Deepika on stage and said – “I married the most beautiful girl in the world!” He went on by saying, “We are here to celebrate what will be an epic future, baby, you and me!” *awwwwwwww*

Also, before kick-starting the party, he said it was “going to be an epic night” and he indeed kept his promise!

The groom:

Ranveer dialled up his fashion game in a glow-in-the-dark Manish Arora ensemble and looked his dapper self!

A word from the designer – “It’s overwhelming to see his love for my designs; the garment is a special one which is reimagined from one of my outfits at Burning Man. The outfit has intricate embellishments and our signature pink fluoro and heart motifs. I can’t wait to see him torching the dance floor in my outfit”.

Although it was his kohl-rimmed eyes and the ‘cat above his shoulder’ that stole the show.

The bride:

For the party, Deepika chose to wear a Sabyasachi outfit from his ‘Dil-guldasta’ collection and looked phenomenal. Her lehenga was a delicately embroidered Bordeaux silk with hand-dyed silk-floss, beaten silver, velvet appliques, gold thread, rhinestones and rose-tinted crystals. She completed the look with a sheer embroidered veil and a statement braided hairdo with a trail of roses in them.

And this what Ranveer had to say about it, “She obliged me by wearing this today. She looks like Frida Kahlo on acid”. *Ohhhhh Ranveerrrr*

The party went on:

Ranveer, who previously said “The dance floor looks to empty” took it to himself to set it on fire. Deepika Padukone too joined him on the floor while the two let their hair down with cool moves to Gallan Goodiyan and then to The Throwdown Mix (Hits Medley) by Kool and the Gang.

The bride bossed it up:

As the party went on, Deepika changed into semi-casuals and channeled her inner boss-lady vibes! Brownie points to this change of outfit.
